A full vehicle wrap covers the entire body of your car, van or truck in printed cast vinyl for a complete colour change and maximum brand impact on the roads of Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman and Abu Dhabi. K.A.T SIGNS designs, prints and fits full wraps in-house and secures the RTA or SEDD approval, so your vehicle turns heads and stays road-legal.
What is a full vehicle wrap?
A full vehicle wrap is bumper-to-bumper coverage where printed cast vinyl is applied over the entire painted surface, changing the vehicle’s colour and carrying your complete branding. Every panel is covered, edges are tucked into door shuts and around handles, and the finish looks like a factory colour rather than a sticker. Because the vinyl sits over the original paint, a full wrap also protects the bodywork underneath from sun and minor abrasion. This is the highest-impact form of vehicle branding, ideal when you want the vehicle to become an unmistakable, seamless expression of your brand.

Who should choose a full wrap over a partial wrap?
You should choose a full wrap when maximum visual impact matters more than saving on material, and when you want a colour the vehicle does not come in from the factory. It suits brand launches, flagship vehicles, showroom demonstrators and any business that wants its vans instantly recognisable in traffic. If you only need core contact details and a logo, a partial wrap or decal set may serve you at lower cost. But if you want no bare bodywork showing, an edge-to-edge design that flows across every panel, and the paint-protection benefit, the full wrap is the right call. Fleets often mix the two, wrapping flagship units fully and using decals on support vehicles.
Does a full wrap need RTA approval in Dubai?
Yes, and a colour-change full wrap is one of the fastest approvals to obtain. Because RTA treats a full wrap partly as a colour change, that portion is often approved in one to two working days, while the branded graphics follow the standard three-to-seven-day route. The vehicle must be registered under your company name with a matching trade licence, the design must be at least 50 percent Arabic, use only Arabic and English, and carry no 3D elements, QR codes or barcodes. Windshield and side-window branding is not allowed. K.A.T SIGNS prepares the artwork to these rules from the start through our RTA and SEDD pre-approval service, so nothing is rejected. See our RTA vehicle branding approval guide for the full checklist.
What material is used for a full wrap and why?
Full wraps demand cast, UV-stable vinyl because only cast film can conform to the deep curves, recesses and body lines of a vehicle without shrinking back over time. Calendered vinyl is cheaper but it has memory, so on a full wrap it lifts at the edges and cracks in the UAE sun within months. Cast film is thinner, more flexible, and when laminated it holds colour and adhesion through the Gulf heat cycle for years. We heat-form the vinyl over contours and post-heat it so it stays put. This material choice is the single biggest factor in whether a full wrap still looks sharp three summers later or peels by the first.
