What is a conference hanging flag?
A conference hanging flag is a fabric banner or flag suspended from the ceiling, truss or rigging points above a stand, rather than standing on the floor. It floats your logo high over the crowd so delegates can locate your booth from anywhere in the hall — long before they can read floor-level signage. Hanging flags come in shapes like square, rectangular, circular or triangular, and are almost always printed double-sided so they read from every approach. Because they claim vertical space that floor signage cannot, they are the single most effective wayfinding element on a busy exhibition floor.
Why hang flags overhead at an exhibition?
Overhead branding solves the core problem of a packed hall — being seen over the crowd. Hanging flags deliver:

- Check the venue’s rigging rules, weight limits and hang-point positions.
- Choose a shape and size scaled to your stand and ceiling height.
- Send artwork; we proof it double-sided for all-round reading.
- We dye-sublimation print and build the frame and hanging kit.
- We coordinate the rig so it is up before the show opens.

How big should a hanging flag be for your stand?
The right size balances visibility against the venue’s rigging limits and the height of the hall ceiling. As a rule, the flag needs to be large enough to read from across a crowded floor yet proportioned to your booth so it looks intentional rather than oversized and overbearing. A small island stand carries a modest ring or square; a large flagship booth can support a bigger statement piece. Ceiling height matters too — the flag must hang high enough to clear the crowd and any stand structure, yet low enough to sit within the visible zone rather than getting lost up near the roof.
