What are magnetic vehicle signs?

Magnetic vehicle signs are flexible printed panels with a magnetic backing that hold themselves to the steel body of a car or van without any adhesive, so they can be applied and removed by hand in seconds. They carry your logo, contact details and message just like a decal, but instead of being permanently stuck they simply cling to the metal. When you want the vehicle plain again, you lift them off and store them flat. Will magnetic signs damage the paint or fall off?

Handled correctly, magnetic signs do not damage paint and stay put at normal driving speeds, but they need simple care to protect both the sign and the finish. The key is to keep both the magnet and the paint clean, because grit trapped underneath can scratch, and to remove the sign periodically so moisture does not sit against the paint. They hold well on flat steel doors but will not grip aluminium or plastic panels, which are not magnetic, so the vehicle must have steel bodywork where the sign goes. At sustained high speed on the highway magnets can lift, so they suit city and moderate driving. Store them flat on a clean surface between uses and they last a long time.
