WHY SIGNAGE

YOUR SIGN IS YOUR SALESPERSON — 24/7.

A storefront sign is the single hardest-working piece of marketing you will ever buy. It works every hour your shutter is up, costs nothing per view, and is the first decision a customer makes about your brand — usually before they read a word.

In Dubai that decision happens fast, often after dark, and almost always in two languages. A flat printed board disappears at sunset; an illuminated, dimensional sign keeps selling until midnight. That is the difference between being seen and being skipped.

YOUR SIGN IS YOUR SALESPERSON — 24/7.

K.A.T SIGNS is a Sharjah-based signage company that designs, produces and installs the full range of business signs across Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman and Abu Dhabi. From indoor reception logos to municipality-approved storefronts, illuminated channel letters, digital LED screens and complete wayfinding systems, everything is engineered, fabricated and fitted by our own in-house team, with DED and municipality permits handled for you.

What types of signage does K.A.T SIGNS make?

We produce every major signage category under one roof, so a single supplier covers your entire building or brand rollout. Because design, fabrication and installation are all in-house, colours, fonts and finishes stay consistent from the smallest door plate to the largest facade.

Do you need municipality approval for signage in the UAE?

Yes, any exterior sign visible from a public area in the UAE needs municipality approval before installation. In Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman and Abu Dhabi, exterior signage permits are issued by the relevant municipality, and some locations also require RTA road-authority or landlord and mall sign-off. UAE signage must be bilingual English and Arabic, and municipalities require the Arabic text to be no smaller than the English. K.A.T SIGNS prepares the artwork, technical drawings and translations and files the permit on your behalf, so your sign is legal from day one.

Permits are part of the job. We handle DED trade-name matching, bilingual EN/AR layout and municipality submission so your storefront is approved before it goes up, avoiding fines and forced removal.

Which materials survive the UAE climate?

Signs in the Emirates have to withstand intense UV, heat, humidity and coastal salt, so material choice matters more here than in cooler markets. We build with marine-grade aluminium for structure and returns, UV-stabilised acrylics for faces and diffusers, and IP65-rated LED drivers and modules for every illuminated element. These specifications keep colours from fading, prevent corrosion near the coast and protect electrics from dust and moisture, which is why our signs keep looking new years after installation.

How much does signage cost in the UAE?

Signage is quoted per project because size, illumination, materials and permits all change the price. As a guide, fabricated 3D channel letters typically range from AED 1,500 to AED 8,000 depending on size and lighting, while non-illuminated flat signs cost less and large pylons or digital screens cost more. The table below shows how the main categories compare.

02

Design on your facade

You see the sign rendered on a photo of your actual storefront, day and night — not a generic mockup.

03

In-house fabrication

CNC routing, acrylic forming, LED assembly and finishing under our roof, with QC photos before dispatch.

04

Permit & install

We submit the municipality permit, then install — after hours if you are trading — and hand over with warranty.
