An exhibition stand is a purpose-built structure that houses and presents your brand at a trade show, expo or event. It is more than graphics — it is walls, a reception counter, product shelving, a storeroom, lighting, flooring and seating, all engineered to a specific floor space and dressed in your branding. What is the difference between a stand and event branding?

A stand is the built structure; event branding is the soft graphics that dress a space. Banners, backdrops and roll-ups are portable print, covered by our exhibition and event branding service. An exhibition stand is engineered joinery and structure — the booth itself. Most exhibitors need both: a solid stand as the frame, refreshed with new graphics for each show. What are kiosks used for?

Kiosks are compact branded units for selling, sampling or informing in malls and public spaces. They range from mall retail carts and promotional booths to information and service points. Like stands, they combine structure, branding, lighting and storage, but they are built for permanent or semi-permanent placement in a mall walkway or lobby rather than a temporary show. K.A.T SIGNS builds kiosks that meet mall fit-out standards and stand up to daily public use. Because a mall kiosk trades in a premium, high-rent location, its build has to earn that space — clean lines, good lighting and clear branding that reads from down the concourse, plus practical storage and a serving position that works for staff through a long shift. Mall operators typically enforce their own design and safety standards for anything placed in a common area, from materials and electricals to overall footprint, and we build to those specifications so the unit is approved and installed without friction. A kiosk that looks considered and holds up to constant handling protects the brand far better than a flimsy cart that starts to look tired within weeks of opening.
